Tyrone Tony Reed Jr.

We're thrilled to announce that author and podcast host, Tyrone Tony Reed Jr. will be joining us for this year's Covington Comic Con! Mr. Reed is the author of the superhero novel series, S.O.L.A.D. (Soldiers of Light Against Darkness) and is also the host of the radio show Hub City Now. He is also the co-host of the podcast, Tad & Tony's Overdue Movie Reviews! Josh Plock

Author Josh Plock will be returning to this year's Covington Comic Con! Josh was a contributing author on the books: The American Superhero, The American Villain, and Robots in Popular Culture published by ABC-CLIO. In these books he profiled a number of iconic characters from comics, film, and television. Most recently he was one of the co-authors on the book We Are Gotham from McFarland & Company publishing. Aside from that he is a staff writer on the blog the House of Geekery where he covers everything from horror films to literature and even the paranormal. Away from writing, he has been a guest on a number of podcasts over the years, including a regular stint on the Aymerich Show to discuss cult cinema and horror. Come meet Josh and our other incredible guests on August 12th and 13th at the Covington Comic Con!

Our event has become known for featuring legendary pop culture and movie cars every year and we're excited to have Bluff City Batman bring his awesome ride this year! Historical Haunts Memphis

Historical Haunts Memphis will be back at Covington Comic Con! They are not only a guest but also one of our awesome sponsors! Historical Haunts Memphis was founded by paranormal investigators, and they offer some of the most unique and exciting paranormal experiences in town. If ghost tours are your thing, get on the Haunted Memphis Bus Tour, Haunted Pub Crawl or Walking Ghost Hunt. For spirits of another kind on Saturdays get on the Memphis Brew Bus for a visit to 3 local craft brewers for tours, tastings and brewer talks.

Jeffery Nodelman

The legend returns!! Animator Jeffrey Nodelman is returning for this year's Covington Comic Con!! He has over 25 years in entertainment production with a star on the Disney Animator’s Walk of Fame. He's been involved with such hits as Disney's Doug, 101 Dalmatians, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Batman, Gotham Girls, Oh Shoot, and Looney Tunes Online. He is the founder of Noodlesoup Productions. He was the live action, commercial director for Hasbro toys (NASCAR, Batman, Star Wars) A graduate of School of Visual Arts, won the Dusty Award for Outstanding Achievements in Animation. He will be doing sketches to raise money for GTMA’s H&L Foundation which provides support and grants that helps children with special needs participate in the martial arts.

Katie Jones

Katie Jones has done tons of stuff from owning a cosplay company- Magic Star Cosplay that did the costumes for the movie Waif by Mike McCarthy, being a professional published artist and illustrator with shows in NYC, Memphis, Saint Louis, etc, as well as a professional panelist and guest at conventions and education conferences for her work in Art Education as TheOtakuTeacher that combines art education and history with literacy education using anime, comics, illustration, manga, scifi and fantasy. She's been published with her education writings and is one of the foremost active working teachers in TN who talks and works within the realm of geekery and bringing it to the classroom. She's also the social media director as well as the vendor hall director for midsouth con.
